ISU student dies of bacterial meningitis

Health officials suspect an Iowa State University student died late Tuesday night from bacterial meningitis.
The university identified the student as Travis James ?TJ? Good, 22, of Omaha. Good reporting feeling ill on Tuesday, and friends took him to the emergency room around 5:30 p.m. He died some time before 11:30 p.m, according to the university.
Test results are pending from University of Iowa Hygienic Laboratory in Ankeny.
Public health and university officials are contacting those who came in close contact with Good, and administering them an antibiotic. Those who only shared a classroom with Good are not at risk, officials said...
