Of 13 patients hospitalized this season 10 had Influenza B and 3 had H3N2.
Overall detection: 16 B, 2 PanFlu H1N1, 18 H3N2.
The two H1N1 detections came from Gauteng

34 more hospitalizations were identified 22 positive for Influenza B, 12 for H3N2.

26 New hospitalizations (Tot 83); 15 confirmed Influenza B (Tot 57), 11 confirmed H3N2 (Tot 26).
Overall detection: 934 samples, 102 confirmed flu B, 90 confirmed H3N2, 7 confirmed pH1N1. The 5 new pH1N1 cases were 4 from Gauteng, 1 from Western Cape.

14 New hospitalizations (Tot 97); 9 confirmed Influenza B (Tot 66), 5 confirmed H3N2 (Tot 31).
Overall detection: 166 samples taken (Total 1,100), 15 confirmed flu B (Total 117), 34 confirmed H3N2 (Total 124), 7 confirmed pH1N1, all from Gauteng (Total 14), and 2 influenza A unsubtyped (Total 2).

Overall detection by province since last report: 868 samples taken (tot 1,968), 288 Influenza B (tot 405), 81 H3N2 (tot 215), 108pH1N1 (tot 122), 1 A unsubtyped (tot 3).

Overall detection by province since last report: 80 samples taken (tot 2,048), 31 Influenza B (tot 436), 3 H3N2 (tot 218), 35 pH1N1 (tot 157), 2 A unsubtyped (tot 5).
