Winter may be over, but Western Australians are being warned the flu season is not.
The Australian Medical Association in WA says emergency departments are struggling to cope with the number of patients because of a shortage of hospital beds.
More than 4000 people have been hit by the flu so far this year and the virus is still active.
The figure is the highest since 2009 when a pandemic was declared...
