HOSPITAL visitors have been warned they should not sit on patients' beds, even when there are no chairs available.
Visitors are also being urged to bring fewer gifts like grapes and flowers. And they should ensure they don't outstay their welcome -- 20 minutes is enough.
The rules on hospital visiting, aimed at reducing the risk of patients getting life-threatening infections, were launched yesterday by experts at the Royal College of Physicians.
Superbugs such as MRSA and C Difficile, as well as the winter vomiting bug and flu, can be brought into hospitals by visitors and leave patients extremely ill....more from the source.
