KABUL, Nov. 30 (Xinhua)-- More than 840 cases of A/H1N1 has been detected in the war-torn Afghanistan, a report released by Afghan Public Health Ministry here on Monday said.
"In total, 843 cases of A/H1N1 have been detected so far and of these, 806 are men and 37 are women," the report added.
Only in the capital city Kabul, 448 men and 23 women have been affected by the virus, the report further said.
The disease, detected couple of months ago and forced Education Ministry to shut down schools and educational institutions for three weeks late last month, according to the report have claimed 16 lives.
