WebMD has information on all types of medical issues including: trending medical topics, news, and a drug information section.
Apparently their funding sources, which are
pharmaceutical companies, have cut back on advertising and WebMD's revenue is off by 13% in the last quarter after trending downward for the last five quarters. They plan to cut 45 million in yearly expenses to meet lower revenues.
We do not have that problem here.
We do not sell advertising space or sponsorships.
We do not accept any contributions from any corporations.
We have never received any contribution from any government or international body.
We have never sold anything.
And we all "work" here for free - many for almost 7 years. We are all volunteers.
Because of our commitment to being a grassroots organization, we are dependent on your donations.
We do not like asking for money. It is really uncomfortable. But we need to maintain the server and other costs related to operating this site.
We do not charge anything for the information here. We offer our work free of charge to the world.
If you are thinking about donating to charities this year, please consider giving something to us. We are a tax deductible charity for people who file income tax returns in the U.S.
What we promise to do in return is to provide pertinent and reliable information to the best of our ability - and without any vested interest.
Namaste and Happy Holidays to All.
