    The first republic-wide monitoring of "bird flu" launched Jan.10, studied the pathological material of 23 wild and 1,368d domestic birds at the National Veterinary Laboratory of Agriculture Ministry, the laboratory told Trend. The lab did not found the virus in the samples.

    Baku. Sevil Valehova - APA. The State Veterinary Service (SVS), Ministry of Agriculture on May 2 began regular monitoring of the country in connection with bird flu. According to APA Press Center WAN Yolchu Hanveli, monitoring is carried out and professionals WAN, ministries of environment and natural resources, health, society, "Hunters and anglers." Checks will be carried out in parks and reserves, as well as in coastal areas, where the temporarily settled by migratory birds - the Absheron Peninsula, Shabranskom, Salyan, Agjabedi and Lankaran regions.
    Taken from migratory birds and poultry in the monitoring samples will be tested in the Republican Veterinary Laboratory. Results will be announced May 13.

      State Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan continues monitoring for control over bird flu infection via migratory birds.
      Press service of the SVS reported that next monitoring of bird migration will be started. The monitoring will involve employees and experts of the SVS, the Ministries of Environment & Natural Resources and Health, the ?Ovchular? Society.

      The monitoring will be conducted in national preserves and parks of Absheron peninsula, Shabran, Salyan, Agjabedi and Lankaran region where the migratory birds are temporary settled, as well as in the country?s sea shore zones and other areas. Besides, the examples of poultry farms and personal agricultures will be taken during the monitoring.

      The results of the monitoring will be announced on November 25.
