While the sites mentioned had H5N1, I don't see Naxcivan - site of first known wild bird deaths in the Azirbaijan/Turkey region in October 2005.

As the Day.Az, reported by the head of the press service of the State Veterinary Service Yolcu Hanveli.

According to him, in the course of monitoring the blood samples were taken and pathogenic materials from 25 wild and domestic birds 2982. Analysis of the samples did not reveal ?avian flu?.

?Given the likelihood of infiltration of the disease? avian flu ?in Azerbaijan through migratory birds, PBS continues to monitor, and regular monitoring will begin on 12 January?, - underlined J. Hanveli.

Note that the monitoring was carried out on the Absheron peninsula, Devechi, Salyan districts, the reserve Gyzylagadzh Lyankyaranskogo area, etc.

If the only test was the blood, would asymptomatic carriers have antibodies in their blood?

Does the successful wild bird AI adaptation entail antibodies, or other mechanisms (as humans do) that allow them to effectively resist so many AIs?
