From the Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases and the National Influenza Centre of Cantacuzino INCDMI shows that in week 14/2013 in Romania intensity influenza activity is average, regional expansion, acute respiratory morbidity was lower than in previous week, below the baseline calculated for this season, falling within the expected range.

Nationally, the total number of cases compatible with influenza and other respiratory infections (80 722) is 10.5% lower than in the previous week and 29.2% higher than that recorded in the same week previous season;
There have been a number of national clinical conditions compatible Influenza 161, 3.6 times higher than that recorded in the same week of the previous season (44 cases);
The number of cases of severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) reported decreased 14 compared to 25 the previous week. Compared with the same week last year, the number of notified cases is higher by 4;
In 1-7.04.2013 week were recorded 1 death from a confirmed case of influenza A (H1) pdm09.
The total number of confirmed flu deaths recorded by week is 26 S14/2013 including, in Iaşi (9 deaths), Cluj (3 deaths), Bistrita Nasaud (2 deaths), Constanta (2 deaths), Vaslui (2 deaths), Maramures County, Arad, D?mboviţa, Neamt, Olt, Tulcea and Bucharest, of which 20 A/H1 pdm09 influenza virus, influenza B virus 5 and 1 coinfection with A (H1) and B
In the 2010-2011 season there were 21 deaths SARI cases (18 deaths from influenza virus A (H1) and 3 B virus) and in 2011-2012 there was 1 death by influenza virus A (H1 ).
The monitoring and early in the season until 04/09/2013 inclusive, 710 were confirmed flu cases:
358 type A influenza virus, of which:
a pandemic H1 subtype 335 2009
1:18 subtype H3
May 1 nesubtipate
349 influenza B viruses
3 coinfection: A (H1) and B pdm09
