MYFOXNY.COM - A school on Long Island is under a meningitis scare after doctors say that a 16-year-old student likely has the bacterial form of the infection, according to the Nassau County Department of Health.
The student is being treated at a hospital, the Health Department said. Officials are working to get in touch with anyone the student has been in close contact with to make sure they get preventive treatment.
The student, a resident of Massapequa, attends Massapequa High School, where a student died of meningitis two years ago...
