"The symptoms of respiratory infection, which were detected at first, have subsided," she added.
Vladimir Rolny, head doctor at the Infectology and Geographical Medicine Department of Bratislava's Faculty Hospital, said that the condition of the 37-year-old man is also satisfactory, and that he is expected to be released within three or four days. This still needs to be discussed at a meeting of epidemiologists on Monday, however.
Six other Slovaks were on board the aircraft that carried the infected man from the U.S.A. They've been notified about the condition of their co-passenger, and have been recommended to measure their body temperature twice a day. If any clinical symptoms of flu appear, they should contact a doctor immediately.
The National Reference Centre for Influenza (NRC) is currently examining or is about to examine twelve sets of biological material linked to possible cases of so-called swine flu. The results of the first four tests will be known later on Friday, while the others are expected to follow soon, Slovakia's chief public health officer Ivan Rovny told TASR on Friday afternoon.
Several suspected cases of swine flu have appeared in Slovakia recently. Only the aforementioned two cases have been confirmed, however.

Another A/H1N1 Novel Flu Case Confirmed in Slovakia
Bratislava, June 26 (TASR) - The eighth case of A/H1N1 novel flu in Slovakia was confirmed by the country's chief public health officer Ivan Rovny on Friday.
