    Second confirmed death from swine flu in Puerto Rico

    SAN JUAN - Gov. Luis Fortu?o on Wednesday reported second death from swine flu occurred in the island, but said that the number of cases of infection remains at 35.

    "From yesterday to today confirmed an additional death related to influenza AH1N1," Fortu?o said in a press conference at The Fortress.

    Secretary of Health, Concepcion Quinones said that the dead person is a man, who did the test after the death June 24.

    "It was presented to hospital with severe respiratory symptoms progressed to sepsis and respiratory failure was ... history of having visited several sites," health official said during the press conference.

    Fortu?o said the number of suspected cases increased from 290 to 305, but the number of confirmed cases remains at 35 confirmed cases. "

    The previous day had reported that eight other suspected deaths related to the virus.

    San Juan, 15 Jul (Notimex) .- The governor of Puerto Rico, Luis Fortu?o, today confirmed the death of a second person to cause human influenza, while it increased to 305 reported suspected cases of the virus, while those confirmed are kept at 35.

    This is a young man who presented severe respiratory symptoms and died four or five days after being hospitalized in the region meters east, informed the Secretary of the Department of Health, Longo Qui?ones de Concepci?n.
