A man with no pre-existing health conditions has become the sixth person to die from swine flu in Contra Costa County.
County officials declined to reveal details, except to say that he died Wednesday.
At least 114 county residents have been hospitalized with swine flu, otherwise known as the novel H1N1 virus.
Most cases are mild to moderate, but health leaders warn that the virus can be deadly and encourage people to be vigilant about washing hands often, staying home when sick, covering coughs, and contacting a doctor if they have flu-like symptoms.
