LAS VEGAS?The Southern Nevada Health District is confirming that a 53-year-old man who died in May tested positive for swine flu.
Health district spokeswoman Jennifer Sizemore says the man's lab results were received last week. The health district says it is not aware of any underlying medical conditions the man had.
It's apparently the ninth swine flu-related death in the state. All were in southern Nevada, including a 70-year-old New York state resident who died shortly after she arrived in Las Vegas.
As of Friday, the health district has confirmed 294 cases of swine flu in Clark County residents. One patient remains hospitalized.
