    Influenza incur 25% of Californians
State tuesday, September 08 2009SAN DIEGO.El Dr. Mark Horton, director of public health in California warned in a press release during the Fall, one in four California residents receive influenza virus infection human.

After confirming that the Golden State is one of those most affected by the number of dead and hospitalized not only within the U.S. but worldwide, calls on Californians to be alert.

"In his letter alerting Californians to remain prepared for a possible epidemic, and recommends visiting the website www.cdph.ca.gov to have it as a source of information," explains the Department of Public Health California.

Besides providing information about preventing infection, the health department's website provides guidance to schools, businesses, laboratories and health professionals, to react in time.

Gives reference to travel insurance sites and other information that may prove vital in the event that the pandemic continues to occur at levels that are feared.

His concern is unfounded, because the influenza virus type A in which H1N1 emerges regularly enters a resting phase during the summer and presents new account in the fall, a situation that happened with the virus human influenza.

In San Diego County are accounted for 1.154 people hospitalized for the spread of human influenza virus and 21 deaths.

The State of California tripled the number of deaths during the summer, counting today's 144 deaths, which far exceeds the more than 50 confirmed deaths across Europe by the World Health Organization.

According to the center of disease control and prevention in the United States, only in this country are accounted for 9.079 deaths and 593 hospitalizations.

American continent remains the most affected by the contagion, to have more of 1,579 confirmed deaths from the human influenza virus, of 1.799 deaths in 177 countries of the world where its presence was confirmed.
