Alabama Woman's Death Eighth in State From H1N1 Virus
DALE COUNTY, AL - The Alabama Department of Public Health says a woman in her 50s in Dale County has died, and test results show the cause is the H1N1 virus.
This makes eight known deaths from H1N1 in Alabama. The Department of Public Health says this serves as a reminder for everyone to take steps to prevent transmission of disease and to be immunized for both seasonal and H1N1 influenza when vaccine becomes available.
The first vaccines should be available in late October to early November.
