OCONTO - The Oconto County Health Dept. has reported a death related to the H1N1 flu.
County officials would not release any other information about the victim, citing ?family and patient confidentiality laws.?
?The loss of a loved one for anyone is heartbreaking,? health officer Deb Konitzer said in a news release. ?Our thoughts are with the family and friends during this difficult time.?
Konitzer also said the H1N1 flu, also known as the swine flu, is not severe for most people, but is dangerous for children and people with compromised immune systems or chronic health illnesses. She also said more vaccine was expected to be available in the coming weeks.
