أكد د.عصام رمضان خبير الصحة بالأمم المتحدة وعضو اللجنة العليا لمتابعة مرض أنفلونزا الخنازير أن مصر على أعتاب مرحلة فقدان السيطرة على المرض بسبب الزيادة المستمرة فى عدد الحالات المصابة بالمرض.

وأكد رمضان أن المستشفيات الحكومية فى حالة حدوث ذلك لن تكفى لاستيعاب الحالات المصابة واستعدادا لهذا السيناريو سيتم وضع المعامل والمستشفيات الخاصة ضمن خطة وزارة الصحة لتلقى الحالات المصابة.

وأوضح رمضان أن الوزارة ستقوم بتحديد أسعار عملية الكشف والتحليل للعينات بهذه المستشفيات والمعامل حتى لا يتم التلاعب فى الأسعار استغلالا للأزمة، وأن مرحلة عدم القدرة على السيطرة على المرض ستبدأ فيها وزارة الصحة بتنفيذ خطة المستشفيات المتنقلة التى ستذهب إلى المناطق الموبوءة، وأن أول منطقة ستذهب إليها المستشفيات المتنقلة هى المرج بمساعدة الهلال الحمر حسب كلام وزير الصحة.
