Advance application of vaccines against influenza in Oaxaca

Oaxaca, November 27 .- After the agency received 25 thousand 318 doses of vaccines against human influenza from the Federation, progress in the implementation of medical personnel from the IMSS, ISSSTE and Health Services of Oaxaca (SSO) as well as pregnant.
According to figures provided by the SSO, biological distribution was 13 thousand 800 Vaccines for Health Services in Oaxaca and two thousand for the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).
Similarly, seven thousand 500 vaccines against influenza virus A (H1N1) were allocated to two thousand IMSS Oportunidades 18 for the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE).
According to the SSO, the second shipment will arrive before the second half of December, since this form is intended to ensure the good condition of the vaccines.
Also, although the Health Services Federation requested a total of 391 thousand shots, expect to rise to 500 thousand, due to the broad spectrum of people considered at high risk.
For this reason, in a second phase of vaccination, will benefit the people deemed most at risk such as diabetics and hypertensives, as well as children and older adults.
Although the application of vaccines to doctors and nurses of these systems began yesterday afternoon, the activities continue on Friday also for pregnant women.
