Free vaccination against A(H1N1) influenza for all citizens begins Monday in health protection institutions throughout Macedonia, whereas medicine "Tamiflu" will be issued free-of-charge with a doctor's prescription for all vulnerable groups.

Sources in the Bureau for Drugs said that there are enough quantities of "Tamiflu" in the country. 10.000 boxes of "Tamiflu" were distributed Sunday in pharmacies in health centres in Macedonia.

Over 200 persons have received the vaccine in the course of the weekend, thus increasing the number to 2,100 vaccinated citizens.

Health Minister Bujar Osmani has urged citizens to receive the vaccine and take the new influenza very seriously.

The Pandemic Flu Committee has informed that 55 respirators for infective units throughout the country would be urgently procured.

Fourteen people have died from the A(H1N1) influenza in Macedonia thus far.
