Bird Flu Cases Stated Net

JAKARTA - The case of bird flu (H5N1) that could be frightening scourge in the country, have now been resolved. This is shown by the decrease in mortality due to virus, since the year 2009 until the beginning of 2010.
Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) said Indonesia ranked highest in terms of people with the H5N1 virus. Recorded since 2009, the total who died from the virus reaches a total of 134 people affected by this case as many as 161 people.
While for H1N1 (swine flu), in which 2009 of 1097 people suffered and died 10 people.
According to Dr. Iwan M Muljono, from the Ministry of Health, for the case of bird flu reaches a relatively stable even normal.
"So bird flu case was clear but still made socialization Kemenkes so that no one contracted the disease again," he said on the sidelines of a seminar titled Preparing for Influenza Pandemic Indonesia held at Hotel Le Meridien, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, South Jakarta, Tuesday ( 9/2/2010).
Meanwhile, the Director of Basic Medical Care Ministry of Health Marwan Nuftri, the number of dead victims of the H5N1 virus until the year 2010 reached 80 percent.
"The more people died and 100 cases 150 more. The death rate decreased because we have handled this case, with the socialization and strengthening of general practitioners and health centers, "he said.
Marwan added, this problem is a very tight situation with every country. Ranging from communications and transportation that have the expected source of infection was not affected in other countries.
"That is where the source of infection should really be kept because in Indonesia has a population of many and mortality are high, especially in West Java and North Sumatra," he concluded.
