    Dokter Jarot didampingi Kepala Bidang Pemberantasan Penyakit Menular Penyehatan Lingkungan (P2MPL) dokter Tuti Darsari, Selasa (15/6), menyatakan, berdasarkan dari hasil penyelidikan yang dilakukan tim kesehatan, korban Supar mulai sakit demam tanggal 30 Mei 2010.

    Karena disertai mual dan muntah, kemudian dibawa ke RS Amal Sehat Kecamatan Slogohimo, dan dirujuk ke RS Marga Husada Wonogiri. Selanjutnya dirujuk ke RS dokter Oen Surakarta, dengan diagnosa pneumonia. Pada 9 Juni 2010, Supar dirujuk lagi ke RS dokter Muwardi Solo. Hanya sekitar 10 jam dirawat di RS dokter Muwardi, korban meninggal, dengan diagnosa suspect flu burung.

    Dari hasil penyelidikan epidemologi ke Dusun Pakelan, tim kesehatan memperoleh keterangan di sekitar pemukiman korban pernah terjadi kematian ayam mendadak dan dari rapid tes-nya positif flu burung.

    Kepala Dinas Peternakan Perikanan Kelautan (Nakperla) Wonogiri, Ir Ruli Pramono MM menyatakan, pihaknya juga telah menurunkan tim ke lokasi, sekaligus dilakukan penyemprotan desinfektan ke kandang ternak warga, dan menyerukan masyarakat menjaga kebersihan lingkungannya, serta melaporkan bila mendapati unggas mati mendadak.
