Re: Louisiana 2010-2011 Season: Weeks 40-52 (Widespread)
Hat tip Missouriwatcher
Week 52 ( from 12/26/2010-1/1/2011)
- Big jump in doctors' visits from week 51 to 52, about 4% , now approching 10%
- Considerably higher than the National Data Summary where the proportion for outpatients visits for ILI was 2.6%.
-Hospitalisations, about 1% increase, now at 6%.
If you look at the National Lab Data, 65.9% is Influenza A,
34.1% Influenza B.
As mentioned by Missouriwatcher, Louisiana has 80% Influenza B
From The National Data Summary, there was one influenza-associated pediatric death reported with an Influenza B virus infection.
