Two positive cultures were reported by the BOL. (A/H3, B) Since October 3, 2010, 7 specimens tested by our BOL have been positive for influenza.

ILI Activity Status (South Carolina baseline is 2.05%*): Below baseline in the Upstate (.18%) and Midlands (.68%) and above baseline along the Coast (2.11%). The state ILI percentage was .61%.
SC Viral Isolate and RT-PCR Activity: Three positive cultures were reported by the BOL: A(H3), B
Positive Rapid Flu Test Activity: There were 86 positive rapid tests reported.
Deaths: No lab confirmed deaths were reported. Lab confirmation includes culture, PCR, DFA, IFA, rapid tests, and autopsy results consistent with influenza.
