Tennessee 2010-2011 Season: Weeks 40-39 (No New Deaths; Total 1)
Week 41:
ILI: 0.4%
2 out of 8 specimens tested positive for Rhinovirus
Two hospitals reported that 6 people tested positive (PCR) for Influenza B this month
Week 44: Sporadic
ILI: 0.46% (higher Jackson/Madison County, Nashville-Davidson County, S. Central Region)
No samples tested positive at state lab, although PCR testing in Memphis and Nashville hospitals detected Influenza B
Week 4:
ILI: 4.24% (higher Jackson/Madison County, Nashville/Davidson County)
Of the 78 specimens received from Week 4, 31 (39.7%) tested positive for influenza viruses (Type B and Type A H3N2 and 2009 H1N1 strains). Increase in 2009 H1N1 and B.
