Belgrade - In Serbia this season has not yet discovered a new influenza A virus H1N1, says epidemiologist Predrag Kon.

There are cases of clinical disease from influenza, but there is a sudden expansion, he said.

New influenza A virus H1N1 re-emerged in the northern hemisphere. In the UK over the past six weeks due to this virus killed ten people, according to the British Independent.

Experts say that despite the fears, the swine influenza virus has not mutated in the meantime, it is mostly the same as last year, according to Bi-Bi-Si.

Kon, visiting in the news B92 explained that it was the right time to vaccinate and protection from the flu, but for the citizens to respond less than last year.

Vaccination is said Kon recommended primarily chronic patients and people over 65 years and pregnant women and very obese patients.

"Now is the seasonal vaccine strain of the H1N1 strain pandmijski and convenient vaccination against seasonal influenza is obtained protection against pandemic influenza," he explains.

"Practically we have evidence that around two million people in Serbia were infected with the H1N1 virus and we have evidence that approximately every second child was also infected and acquired protection, so we have a natural immunity of these children, so that it is impossible to reach an explosive appearance as what happened last year, "said Kon.

He says that, on the other hand, we have a completely new situation, that more than 65 years in 19 percent of all protected.
