    This year's first death due to swine flu in Jodhpur

    Jodhpur, Feb 14 (PTI) The city saw its first swine flu casualty for the year when a person, who was admitted in a hospital ten days ago died here this afternoon.

    The patient, who was on a ventilator since he tested positive, breathed his last today, hospital sources said.

    According to Arvind Mathur, Head of the Department Medicine said R K Soni, a resident of Ratanada locality, was admitted to the hospital on February 4, under critical conditions, with symptoms of Pneumonia.

      Woman Succumbs to Swine Flu

      A pregnant woman has died due to swine flu here, hospital sources said today.

      The woman identified as Imarti Devi (22) died at the PBM hospital here yesterday. She was tested positive of the virus," Dr V B Singh, nodel officer (swine flu)- PBM hospital said.

      11 people out of 12 swine-flu suspected patients have been tested negative this year, he added.

                        JODHPUR: With the death of a woman on Thursday in the swine flu isolation ward at MDM Hospital, the dreaded virus has once again made its presence felt in Jodhpur. She was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and was tested positive on Wednesday. Two deaths have occurred so far this year in Jodhpur.

                        Samdu Devi (22) was brought to MDM Hospital from Sojat City on Tuesday under serious condition. She was pregnant and was immediately put on ventilator. Her swab was sent for the test on the same day and the report, which was obtained on Wednesday, she was tested positive. Samdu finally breathed her last on Thursday morning.

                              Pregnant woman dies of swine flu in Jodhpur
                              Jodhpur, May 19 : A pregnant woman died of Swine Flu in an isolation ward in MDM Hospital here yesterday even as three more women--two of whom are pregnant--are being treated for the epidemic in the ward.

                              The deceased woman identified as Maya of Banad near here was referred to the hospital on May 11 with severe pneumonia and later was shifted to Isolation ward following confirmation of H1N1 virus.

                              This is second casualty due to swine flu in the town during the current year.

                              Earlier, a woman from Ratanada had succumbed of the disease in January.
