    As of August 2, 2011, 27 human cases of WNV had been reported nationwide in 12 states: Arizona (4), California (3), Colorado (1), Florida (5), Georgia (1), Louisiana (1), Mississippi (6), North Dakota (1), South Dakota (1), Texas (2), Virginia (1), and Wyoming (1). Of the 27 cases, 15 (56&#37 have neuroinvasive disease. One WNV-related fatality has been reported in Texas.

    National Comments: As of August 9, 2011, 41 human cases of WNV had been reported nationwide in 13 states: Arizona (4), California (8), Colorado (1), Florida (7), Georgia (1), Louisiana (2), Mississippi (11), New Jersey (1), North Dakota (1), South Dakota (1), Texas (2), Virginia (1), and Wyoming (1). Of the 41 cases, 24 (59%) have neuroinvasive disease. One WNV-related fatality has been reported in Texas.

      As of August 16, 2011, 53 human cases of WNV had been reported nationwide in 14 states: Arizona (4), California (10), Colorado (1), Florida (8), Georgia (1), Louisiana (2), Mississippi (14), Nebraska (1), New Jersey (1), North Dakota (2), South Dakota (1), Texas (6), Virginia (1), and Wyoming (1). Of the 53 cases, 32 (60%) have neuroinvasive disease. Three WNV-related fatalities have been reported; Florida (1), Mississippi (1) and Texas (1).

Of the 77 cases, 47 (61%) have neuroinvasive disease. Three WNV-related fatalities have been reported; Florida (1), Mississippi (1) and Texas (1).

Of the 104 cases, 65 (63%) have neuroinvasive disease. Four WNV-related fatalities have been reported; Florida (1), Michigan (1), Mississippi (1) and Texas (1).

Of the 135 cases, 85 (63%) have neuroinvasive disease. Five WNV-related fatalities have been reported; Florida (1), Michigan (1), Mississippi (1), Pennsylvania (1) and Texas (1).

Of the 202 cases, 134 (66%) have neuroinvasive disease. Seven WNV-related fatalities have been reported; Florida (2), Indiana (1), Michigan (1), Mississippi (1), Pennsylvania (1) and Texas (1).

Of the 268 cases, 183 (68%) have neuroinvasive disease.
