    Many cases and deaths due to acute febrile illness reported from four blocks of
    Alwar District during 25 Aug - 24 Sept 2011 (27 cases from Block Rajgarh, 5
    from Reni block, 3 Laxmangarh block, 2 from Tizara block). 81% deaths
    occurred among persons above 15 years of age. Investigation done by Central
    team assisted by State and District RRT. Samples tested at NCDC lab found
    positive for Scrub Typhus, Dengue, Chikungunya and Influenza A & B. Cases
    treated symptomatically. House to house case search and entomological survey
    done. IEC activities undertaken regarding early treatment of cases, mosquito
    control measures and personal protection measures to be adopted by the
    community.
