Week 40: No Activity
Two specimens were received by the State Public Health Laboratory for viral testing during week 40; both were negative.
The proportion of patient visits for influenza-like illness is 0.58% for week ending October 8, 2011 (week 40). This is below Missouri?s baseline of 2.47%.

P&I deaths are above the 5 year weekly median.
Anecdotal report: I live in Jackson County. More and more people around me, myself included, have been experiencing ILI symptoms for the past week or two. I had a flu shot.
