No bird flu cases in Qatar, says NHA <!--Sunday, March 04, 2007-->

DOHA ? An official of the National Health Authority (NHA) has stated at a conference held in Cairo that there are no cases of bird flu in Qatar.
NHA Media Relations Director Abdulaziz Al Sulaiti told delegates: "Qatar is free of bird flu."
The conference in Cairo was called after cases of bird flu were found in Egypt and recently, Kuwait.
The conference noted that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has not issued any travel advisories related to countries affected by the virus and passengers arriving from affected areas are also not being screened.
The conference, however announced that local authorities can pass on information to arriving and departing passengers about the virus.
