    Week 44 includes a report on a Coliform outbreak that led to the deaths of 9 newborns at Teaching Hospital, Kurunegala.

    Other diseases reported;

    268 cases of TB, 2 Whooping cough, 76 mumps, 75 Chickenpox, 14 Leishmaniasis, 8 meningitis, 547 Dengue, 70 Leptospirosis. See link for full listing.

    Week 2 2012 report http://www.epid.gov.lk/web/attachmen...%20English.pdf contains an article about Leishmaniasis in Sri Lanka.

        Week 8 Report

        The report contains an article on Nipah virus, a table showing lack of surveillance of water quality in Sri Lanka and tables of disease statistics.

        2 cases of Acute Flaccid Paralysis reported bringing the cumulative total to 11.
