HONG KONG, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The import of poultry products, including poultry eggs and frozen poultry, from northeastern Liaoning province on the Chinese mainland has resumed, the Center for Food Safety of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China announced Thursday.
"We have decided to resume the import of poultry eggs and frozen poultry from the area as appropriate monitoring and control measures have been taken by mainland authorities following a confirmed case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 earlier in Dalian city," a spokesman for the center said.
