    100% positive for influenza; all A(H3N2)
    Two influenza outbreaks were reported in long-term care facilities within Illinois for week ending December1, 2012.The facilities were located in regions 4 and 7. A total of 3 outbreaks have been reported for the season.

        No influenza-associated pediatric death was reported for week 50.
        During week 50, three influenza outbreaks were reported in long-term care facilities.

          No influenza-associated pediatric death was reported for week 51.
          During week 51, ten institutional influenza outbreaks were reported.

            100% positive for influenza

            Febrile Respiratory Illness (FRI) surveillance at Naval Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes was at or below expected value for week ending December 29, 2012.

              ILI: 5.1% compared with 6.1% for week 52.

              Febrile Respiratory Illness (FRI) surveillance at Naval Recruit Training Command,Great Lakes was at or below expected value.

              80% positive for influenza; all were Influenza (A) H3N2.

              No influenza-associated pediatric death was reported for the week ending January 5, 2013.
              18 institutional influenza outbreaks were reported.



              During Pandemic year: (According to Mt Vernon Register-News Jan 8, 2010) 86 deaths and 2,700 hospitalizations from swine flu were recorded from April 2009-Jan 2010.
