Flu Closes Schools Districts In Adair, Muskogee Counties

"Westville Public Schools in Adair County will be closed again on Friday, due to an outbreak of the flu.

The school district, which was also closed on Thursday made the announcement on its website.

More than 100 students and about 16 teachers and staff members were absent with illness this week...

The school system has 1,180 students in it, Kindle said.

Porum Schools in Muskogee County will be closed on Friday as well. Assistant Superintendent Brent Pierce said the district had about 20% of their student body out Thursday with the flu."
