Eleven More Flu Deaths Reported in San Diego County
Eleven more people died from complications from influenza, bringing the total to 30, the County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) reported today.

Here is part of the Influenza Watch report. In addition to the 30 reported deaths, there have been two deaths reported in people over 64 yrs, bringing the total to 32. I've got a total for California of 62 deaths, which suggests that San Diego is getting hit particularly hard this season.
