A Lifeguard Ambulance paramedic is dead and his wife is fighting for her life after both became infected with the H1N1 flu virus, according to family members.

Rodney Gajewski died Sunday night, after calling 911 for paramedics to help him. ..

Flu Claims Fla. Paramedic, Leaves Wife in Emergency Care

Memorial services for a Santa Rosa County, Fla. paramedic are set for today following his death last week from the H1N1 flu virus, and his wife continues fighting for her life, according to news reports.
