The Minority Leader of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Bernadette Lahai said that nurses working at the various Health Centers of Ebola infected areas are in a critical position due to inadequate medical equipment. She made this statement recently when briefing ministers and members of parliament about the situation badly hit areas in the South-East She noted that many nurses are being given ejectment notices by their landlords because they are working in the Ebola Treatment Centers. Landlords fear that the nurses will bring the infection home. She said medical staffs are working hard but they lack required logistical support that would protect from the Ebola virus. She added that ambulances are in short supply to convey suspected Ebola patients. She also noted that suspected Ebola patients are escaping from the centres.
