Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is a public health emergency that affects both adults and children. It is unknown whether patients with allergic disorders are at greater risk for COVID-19 than non-allergic patients. Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a skin-related disease with elevated risk of respiratory comorbidities (i.e., asthma)[SUP]1[/SUP] . COVID-19 infection rates, including mortality and morbidity, might be higher in patients with respiratory diseases[SUP]1[/SUP] .
