Angola records reduction of tuberculosis cases in last six months
Luanda - At least 9.971 tuberculosis case were recorded from January to June in 2010 countrywide, in accordance with data released to ANGOP on Monday.
According to the assessment report of the National Public Health Department (DNSP), 18.898 cases were recorded in the same period in 2009.
According to the document, the expansion of awareness campaigns conducted in the communities on the prevention and contamination of the disease, improvement of the working conditions in hospitals, contributed to reduction of tuberculosis cases in a gradual way.
