Dog owners on the west side are concerned after at least a dozen animals have died from the same symptoms in the past month.
No one is sure what's causing the mysterious illness.
In the Paradise Hills neighborhood, Kasia Zaryczny, Amy Neel and Chris Sturtz are all working to determine the cause.
Neel's service dog, Joe, was the first to die last month.
He started throwing up and was weak when the Neel's took him to the veterinarian.
"The vet thought it was just something that had to run its course," Neel said. "He was dead the next day."...
