Alert for the measles outbreak for those traveling to Buenos Aires:: El Litoral – News – Santa Fe – Argentina

The Ministry of Health of the Nation issued strong recommendations for those who are going to areas with active circulation of the virus and confirmed cases should be vaccinated 15 days before traveling. The vaccine is available for free in all hospitals and health centers.

The Secretary of Health of the province of Santa Fe, Dr. Sonia Martorano, said that “we are with an epidemiological alert for a measles outbreak nationwide, so we join it with strong recommendations towards the population, and thus treat to avoid the risk of dissemination to other regions of the country that could be caused by the mobilization of people on vacation ”.

For this reason, Dr. Martorano provided recommendations on vaccination against measles for people traveling especially to the city of Buenos Aires (CABA), and four of the regions of the province of Buenos Aires affected by the outbreak, which would be which are called 5, 6, 7 and 12, which include Escobar, Pilar, San Fernando and Tigre, but also La Matanza complete (as most visited places); and for those who go abroad, mainly to southern Brazil (states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande Do Sul), and Rio de Janeiro...
