Although officials initially said Monday the school, located in Gilbert but part of Chandler Unified School District, was being closed because Legionella bacteria was detected, they are now expected to state that there is no public health threat posed by that discovery. Instead, they now say the school and library are being kept closed because a library employee had shown up for work with whoopingcough, another highly contagious disease...​
