"Four urban faults appear to have accumulated enough seismic moment to produce major earthquakes," says the report. Three of those faults "are nearing or past their mean recurrence interval."
Translation: Be aware and have a plan, because unlike Ebola, this is for real. The Pacific is pulling away from North America at a rate of 2.5 inches per year, and it doesn't care about what we've built in the way.
