Bird Flu detected in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: The government has confirmed that bird flu (H5N8) has been detected in Kathmandu on Saturday.
Issuing a press statement, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development said that bird flu has been detected at a farm in Tarkeshwor Municipality-7 in Kathmandu district.
The H5N8 virus has been reported in several states of India for the last few days.
