Boreal owl within reaching distance!

Re: Boreal owl within reaching distance!

#19: "It's good to know they don't think it was ill."

Wrong, he is ill - "he is suffering from a bill deformity".

And he is full of chemicals through food, as the other creatures there.

We're still awaiting the verdict from USGS. He is smaller than the normal full grown, so there is a possibility the bill is immature. I'll call them again in a few days if they don't contact me.

How sad to hear it's happening in the Pacific Northwest also.

With so many species and locations being canaries in the pollution mine, perhaps Pres. Obama can spend some stimulus funds on research in this area. :D
