Guizhou holds emergency drill for mass pneumonia of unknown cause

Colorful Guizhou News (Reporter Xiong Qianwen) On November 25, the 2024 Guizhou Province Mass Pneumonia Epidemic Emergency Drill hosted by the Guizhou Provincial Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Provincial Health Commission, and the Zunyi Municipal People's Government was held in Zunyi City.
The background of this exercise is "the import of Y virus from abroad caused a cluster of pneumonia of unknown cause in Zunyi City. After receiving the report, the provincial, municipal and county governments attached great importance to it and immediately initiated emergency response at the corresponding level. They dispatched emergency response teams at all levels for the prevention and control of acute infectious diseases and emergency medical rescue to the scene to carry out emergency disposal work as soon as possible." During the exercise, each participating team performed its duties, cooperated closely and worked together, and carried out emergency disposal in an orderly manner around the main links such as monitoring and early warning, information reporting, response initiation, coordinated linkage, and medical treatment, demonstrating the ability level of Guizhou's emergency teams, effectively testing the working mechanism of emergency command systems at all levels, and fully demonstrating the spirit of Guizhou's disease control team of "obeying orders, being reliable, rushing forward, and being willing to sacrifice", achieving the purpose of "big training" to test plans, train teams, promote training through "exercises", and prepare for war through "training".
The drill was well organized and coordinated, with rapid emergency response and professional and standardized handling. It effectively tested Guizhou's emergency response capabilities for infectious diseases, achieved the expected results, and was recognized by relevant experts. Taking this drill as an opportunity, the Guizhou Provincial Emergency Response Team will further strengthen the system and mechanism, improve command capabilities, strengthen system construction, improve support capabilities, strengthen monitoring and early warning, improve response capabilities, strengthen team building, improve actual combat capabilities, strengthen publicity and guidance, and improve prevention and control results, promote the formation of a disease prevention and control work situation with the participation of the whole society, effectively respond to new and emerging infectious diseases with full preparation, and make every effort to maintain public health security.
