Larimer County's first human case of tularemia for 2015 was confirmed Thursday in a resident who lives north of Fort Collins, according to The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment.
The unidentified resident likely became infected with the potentially life-threatening bacterial infection while planting trees or gardening and touching contaminated soil, the health department said. In addition to the resident, three rodents and a dog have also tested positive for the "rabbit fever" infection this year...
