Health authorities confirmed an outbreak of Cali in clinical varicella Comfenalco social insurance based old Rafael Uribe Uribe.
As reported by the Secretary of Health, Juan Carlos Botero, five people were infected with the virus at the medical center, among which were two adult men, a doctor, a nurse and a guard.
Patients who were isolated and sterilized to prevent the spread of the disease in others, are being treated in the emergency room of the clinic.
"So far the situation is nothing but an outbreak can not be categorized as epidemic. But immediately we are managing 5200 doses of vaccine to prevent from escalating," said the official, adding that the priority for the vaccines will be contact the primary circles of people who are infected.
