cyanosis in 1958 asian flu?

I see health officials are comparing the current pandemic to the Asian
flu pandemic, even to the degree of showing wave charts in comparing how they expect this one to act. It occurred to me to ask how this one compares to the Asian flu; I can't find out much about symptoms, average age of deaths etc.

Did it kill in the most severe cases the way the 1918 one did?
(cyonosis, cytokine storm)
